The candidate will be in charge of all health and safety issues in the school related to our students and patients. Duties will include caring for sick and/or injured students/clients; maintaining clinic and first aid supplies; tracking medical and clinical data on students/clients; maintaining contacts with parents regarding medical information, referrals, and reports; maintaining up-to-date lists on medical information including students on medication, immunizations, students with allergies, and vision and hearing screenings; administering medications; conducting vision screening and assisting in hearing screening on all students enrolled in school programs; monitoring walkie/talkies for playground incidents; maintaining monthly correspondence with insurance companies for students/patients seen in our clinics and schools; serving as chairperson of our School Safety Committee; and teaching First Aid and CPR to our faculty/staff. Qualifications: Education/Licensure: B.S. degree in nursing or license to practice nursing in state of Georgia. Experience: At least two years experience in working with children, preferably in a school setting, mandatory.
Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:30 to 3:00
Personal Characteristics: The candidate should possess the ability to communicate well and should desire to be a part of a multidisciplinary team. Strong organizational skills as well as the ability to quickly switch between varied tasks also helpful. | | |
