“The strengths that Ms. Goldsack bring to this non traditional practice area for nurses have both taught and inspired those with whom she comes into daily contact. Her commitment to the health and education of the students of our county is one of her strongest assets and is evident in each interaction with co-workers, school staff and students. In addition to her deep commitment to our students, Ms. Goldsack brings to this position strong nursing knowledge and skills, particularly in the areas of human growth and development, disease process, and health promotion and prevention.”

“Marsha Cornell has served as Nurse Coordinator for the Effingham County School Health Services since the year 2000.  She directly supervises eight Elementary School Nurses, three Middle School Nurses, and two High School clinics.  She began her nursing career over 30 years ago when she graduated from the University of Evansville in Indiana.  She has since obtained a Master of Nursing and has devoted herself to Nursing Education.  Since moving to Georgia, she has served as an instructor in the ADN Program at Armstrong Atlantic State University, a Health Occupation teacher at Effingham High School, and Coordinator of the Family Living Program for our school system, and a Coordinator for the GASN State Conference.  In addition to serving as the Nurse Coordinator, she also works as the School Nurse for the Central Learning Center.  Marsha has her fingers in many different nursing pots.  She is involved in the community, has many years of experience in nursing education, is active politically, and promotes research.  She also continues to provide direct nursing care and makes professional development a priority for herself and her employees.  Marsha passionately loves her job, and she insists on recognizing and praising anyone who contributes to school nursing.  Marsha’s heart belongs to school nursing, and our hearts (the Nurses of Effingham County School Health Services) belongs to her!  We know, without a shadow of a doubt, that Marsha is the best School Nurse Administrator that God ever placed on this planet.  We want everyone to know how much we appreciate and love her.”
